Ken York, living in Bend, had spent his career building companies from the ground up. He believed in taking care of employees, building strong cultures, and creating businesses that people were proud to be part of. But no matter how successful those companies became, one challenge never went away: healthcare.
Providing quality, affordable benefits was always complicated, expensive, and frustrating. Costs kept rising. Options kept shrinking. And too often, it felt like the system forced a choice between protecting the business or fully supporting the people who made it run.
Then came COVID—and everything changed.
